Thank You for making our Golf Outing Successful
On October 2th 2021, The Henry Chang Annual Golf Outing was held at Pelham Bay and Split Rock Golf Courses. We had an incredible turn out, with over 125 people supporting the cause, and Frank Adamo as our Guest of Honor. This warm autumn day of golf was concluded with awards and prizes. Congratulations to Vincent Galante, Ed Salem, Eamon Ward earning the Industry Lifetime Achievement Award.
We would like to thank all of you for your support in making this years annual golf outing a success. We would like to give a special thanks to our top sponsors, event organizers and supporters. We look forward to seeing everyone next year.

Frank Adamo
2021 Guest of Honor
After 31 years of working for NYC Frank retired in March of 2020.
​
Frank has a long career with over 35 years of professional experience in a variety of roles and environments. In each role he strongly focused on learning, contributing to safety, problem-solving and impacting people in a positive way.
​
Frank began his career as an operating mechanic working rotating shifts in a 2000 Megawatt producing Con Edison power plant in 1985. He moved on to function as a High-Pressure Plant Tender at the NYC Department of Sanitation from 1988 to 1993. Later in 1993, he joined Local 30 and became a Stationary Engineer at Gouverneur Hospital for NYC Health and Hospital Corporation.

In 2001 he transitioned to Stationary Engineer for Bronx Community College. He joined DCAS in 2002 and was promoted to Senior Stationary Engineer in 2008.
​
In 2014 he was promoted to Assistant Director and later Director of Mechanical Maintenance and Operations at DCAS until his retirement from NYC.
​
Frank is now working in the private sector as a Chief Stationary Engineer in White Plains NY. He lives in Rockland County with his wife and two children.
Vincent Galante
2021 Industry Lifetime Achievement Award
Following in his father’s footsteps he is a second-generation Stationary Engineer and Trade Unionist. He continues to be employed in the Engineering field after retiring from DCAS in 2020. He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management & Economics from Empire State College.
While working at DCAS he was assigned to City Hall and 360 Adams Street in Brooklyn. Prior to working for DCAS, he was employed by two other City agencies, The New York City Department of Education and The City Universities of New York. While working at these agency’s he held the positions of Deputy Director of Facilities, Senior Stationary Engineer, Stationary Engineer and High-Pressure Plant Tender.
Outside of work, he has been an active volunteer Firefighter for the Bethpage Fire Department for the past thirty-one years and served as Captain of Engine Company 5. He enjoys spending time in Saugerties, New York located in the Catskills where he has a second home, enjoying the quiet and peaceful surroundings. He enjoys reading history, skiing, ice hockey, hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He is married with one child and lives on Long Island.

Edward Salem worked as Senior Stationary Engineer at DCAS. Ed was great to his crew. He went above and beyond to help the other engineers. He is happy to know that the Henry Chang Engineers Education and Opportunity Foundation will be helping young people find educational and career opportunities in the City of New York.
Eamon Ward
2021 Industry Lifetime Achievement Award
Eamon Ward’s career spans over 35 years in the HVAC industry. From his first training course in High School to date, he has taken the field by storm. His work history holds a plethora of challenging and influential jobs, including Port Authority, Health and Hospitals, Parks and CUNY to name a few, not to mention him also working with his 3 brothers, also very successful in the industry, it is safe to say it is in his blood.
​
Upon Mr Ward’s appointment to DCAS, he had held positions at 100 Centre and 280 Broadway, furthermore had also worked at just about every other DCAS facility More than one time or another, whenever his services were needed, day or night, rain or shine, 24/7.
It was with his work ethics, initiative, positive attitude, candor and charm, that made any job he showed up to, a better one on many levels, making DCAS overall only a better place to work and we are forever grateful for his services.
